Alicia graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. She began working in veterinary medicine in Las Vegas, NV in 2002 as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. She has worked in general practice, emergency and critical care and the Texas A&M small animal hospital intensive care unit. Alicia joined the surgery team at SLVS in 2010. She became the ICU Coordinator in 2011 and Director of Nursing in 2012. She enjoys backpacking and just having fun with her family which includes her red-tailed boa, “Lilith” and two crazy cats, “Mitz” and “Mew”.
Matt began his career in veterinary medicine in December of 2005, starting off as a veterinary technician in the Humble TX area. Matt has worked at numerous large and small animal practices in the greater Houston area, and has a special interest in Specialty and Emergency Medicine. Matt began working at a local Emergency Clinic in 2010 and was promoted to Area Hospital Administrator in October of 2013. He takes great pride in his work, and has managed multiple Emergency locations, before calling Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care home. Matt has been with SLVS as Hospital Administrator since September of 2017. Matt has been married since November 2009 to his amazing wife Kat, and together they have a daughter and son. The Mayton household also include 3 dogs, an Australian Shepherd named Porter, a Cocker Spaniel named Sasha, and a spunky Australian Shepherd puppy named Denver. Matt’s family enjoys competing in the dog sports arena, the entire Mayton family are a part of a local Flyball team, as well as showing Australian Shepherd in Conformation, agility, obedience, rally, and trying their hands at herding.
Originally from Monroe, Lousiana, in a family of 5 siblings, Cicely came to the Sugar Land area when she was 10. She now lives in Rosenberg with her husband, 2 children and 4 dogs,Trace, Kona, Boss & Prince. She loves spending her spare time coaching baseball and softball, and fishing with her family at the Bay.
