Molly is a 7 year old female spayed English Setterl that came into the Internal Medicine department at SLVS in November 2013 and was diagnosed with IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). IMHA is a condition where the patient’s immune system begins attacking its own red blood cells. Molly has been hospitalized several times and has received multiple blood transfusions over the last few months, in addition to regularly monitoring Molly’s blood work on an outpatient basis. We are super happy to say that Molly is now in remission from her IMHA!
