Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists (SLVS) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist to join our multi-specialty referral practice located in Sugar Land, TX, a thriving suburb of Houston.
Our 16,000 sq. ft. facility features 9 (soon to be 12) exam rooms, 2 (soon to be 4) surgical suites, in-house MRI, helical CT, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and ultrasound. Client Care Specialist (Front Desk or Oncology)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience & above industry standards
We are in search of a full-time client service professional that is able to combine passion for pets with compassionate client service for their owners for our front desk team and for our Oncology team.
Front desk candidate must have at least 1 year experience in a veterinary setting, as well as client service experience. The front desk position requires some flexibility in the schedule, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
For the Oncology position, veterinary experience is not necessary but client service experience is required. This position has a set schedule but some flexibility is required.

Veterinary Technician – Emergency & Critical Care
Compensation: Commensurate with experience & above industry standards
We are in search of experienced Veterinary Technicians for our ECC section; candidates must possess the skills necessary to provide quality patient care and compassionate client service for their owners. We prefer applicants who have attained LVT status and/or 2+ years experience in a veterinary setting, as well as client service experience. This position is in our ECC section and requires flexibility of schedule; regular hours are weekends, overnights, and holidays. This is an excellent opportunity for a person meeting the above requirements to grow and develop in emergency medicine. Our technicians are taught advanced skills and expected to exhibit autonomy and a willingness to learn, leading to a fulfilling career.

Veterinary Assistant- ICU
Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists & 24 Hour Emergency is looking to add technician assistants to our ICU team. This is an entry level position with no previous veterinary experience required. SLVS boasts a team-oriented culture that is second to none in the Houston area.
The scope of this position is to assist the technicians in the ICU and Emergency (ECC) team by setting up for procedures, breaking down equipment after procedures, cleaning, restocking, restraint,husbandry, rehab, running lab work when needed, and other duties as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn, be productive, and fit into our established team culture.
At this time these are part-time positions will the following possible hours:
ICU- Hours: Saturday-Thursday (No Fridays) 4p-10p (~18 hrs/weekly)
ECC- Hours: Thursday-Tuesday (Part Time~ 20 hours/week) (Designated days TBD but will require 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day)

Social Media Coordinator
There is no average day at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists & 24 Hour Emergency Care and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator who can go with the flow. Our current social media following includes Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. While we have a good start, we’re looking for someone who wants to take us to the next level. The goals for our channels are to engage with current and potential clients, educate the general public, and share who SLVS24EC is, what we do, and why we’re different.
As a specialty and emergency veterinary hospital- the pets we see are usually very ill or have an advanced medical condition. Our success stories keep us going but sometimes, there are sad and sensitive situations. So a team member with awareness, compassion, empathy, and a capacity to handle these situations professionally is a must.
What does a social media coordinator do?
As a Social Media Coordinator, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more clients to our hospital. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.
